3rd Annual Current River Canoe Trip

September 1 – 3 2013

This is an advanced level course that will test your skills and knowledge. Join us for 3 days on the beautiful Current River filled with Hiking, Skills, Foraging, and much more. We will work on many primitive and not so primitive skills during the
outting. Make sure to have an extra warmth layer with you… as the nights can get pretty chilly! This is going to be a great camp with our days packed full of teaching and fun! This class will be limited to about 8 people – so don’t wait to sign up!


A Suggested List of Gear:

  • Shelter (Tarp, Bivy, Tent, or Hammock Setup)
  • Large and Small Knife & Sharpener, Saw
  • Flashlight
  • Fire Kit
  • 1st Aid Kit – At least Band aids, Gauze Pads, and Antibiotic Crème
  • 2 Bandanas
  • Personal Kit
  • 100′ #550 or other Cordage
  • Cook Kit/Small Stove
  • 1 Medium Light Jacket/Fleece, 1 Extra Shirt, & 2 Pairs extra socks
  • Water Carrier (up to 100 oz) & small filter or Tablets
  • Food
  • Any Other Gear You Want To Test Out. Each person MUST HAVE a Whistle & Compass with them as well. You may bring a pair of gloves and hat as “on body” equipment as well. We will be checking packs at the trail head to make sure that everyone has the necessary gear for a safe and enjoyable trek. If you want to test your skills this course is one you don’t want to miss out on! You must have completed the Basic Course or have an equivalent skill level.
